419 Prehistoria - Enter the Master-of-Feint - Druggy vs. YC

Druggy (Red Zerg) - YC (Purple Terran)

Just what is a master-of-feint, well just read on and you will find out.

As described by Wiki .... "A feint attack is designed to draw defensive action towards the point under assault. It is usually used as a diversion to force the enemy to concentrate more manpower in a given area so that the opposing force in another area is weaker."

Game Time 3.57 - Fast expand by Druggy while sending a small detachment to keep YC "unsettled". This is just but the beginning of a series of successive well-planned "feint" attacks, which is the trademark of the GOSU SC tactician.

Game Time 5.05 - Smart risk, the necessary ingredient for any successful feint is exactly what Druggy carried out. Knowing full well his HQ and expansion is widely open for penetration, Druggy bring his only force straight ahead into the the tight forbidden spot in Lost Temple known as "the ramp". Just imagine a scurry of foxes trying to run through a tight thin line surrounded by menacing humans with gatling guns, for some this is suicide, for druggy, this is necessary casualties of war, or simply put, a good feint.

Game Time 6.17
- Two medics and six marines. Though this is a small contingent, Druggy also has a small force, which he needs to defend both his rather "not so close" expansion and HQ. However, a feint works when one player successfully convince his opponent of the looming threat of possible rushes by zergling (which might not materialize), something which Druggy is born for ... FEINT attacks.

Game Time 6.29 - "They came from behind!" is simply an act of a successful feint. Again, as usual, troops here and there not only create an illusion of multiple pockets of zergling attacks but also allows "They came from everywhere!" syndrome.

Game Time 6.50
- For YC, the troops are sightseeing as they walk straight without any worries. From YC's POV, the red carpet has been laid, just go for the great treasure called hatchery, however, from a third person's POV, the troops will soon face the "They came from everywhere!" syndrome.

Game Time 6.58 - See this picture, Marine A must be thinking, "Bah, a couple of stupid pesky dogs behind me. You guys ahead, I will catch up once I am done here". From the OBS POV, he sees dead marines.

Game Time 7.07
- The result of "They came from everywhere!" syndrome, with a horde of dogs chasing the medics' ass, pity the medics.

Game Time 9.25 - Surgical strike No.2 by YC, now with new flavours, such as 4 firebats, 7 marines and medics.

Game Time 9.44 - The crème de' le' crème of feint attack, send 3 dogs for target practice for the marines and send the remaining 2 squad of dogs and a couple of hydralisk to get the jackpot, the final and absolute penetration of the forbidden "ramp" (We shall called this in SC as the art of "ramping" or simply, penetration)

Game Time 10.02 - Ahh, the sweet taste of ramping successfully, that is what the zerg horde is thinking. The ramp no longer exist, we are "in", all the way in and wreaking havoc and destruction. Well, this concludes a great match between the master-of-feints Druggy and the great guru YC.
