Numb3rs dude, its all numb3rs. How? When? Where? Fcuk that, give me numb3rs and I will show you bloodbath and I will paint the town really red. Numb3rs are simple and thorough, it is KILL KILL KILL.
Want to see numb3rs in action, well let’s start. The map is huntress and we have
• Team A - yellow terran (Freefrag) at 1 & blue protoss (Pip) at 5
• Team B - purple zerg (Raz) at 3 and teal terran (G.A.M.E) at 9
Raz started with an early expansion and by 4:15, his expansion is well-secured. As with most battles, early skirmishes are like appetizers. This first skirmish sees Team B doing a raid on Freefrag’s base at 5:09, which then Team A will counter and this go on until something comes up. Raz went for early expansion while Freefrag took up the way of the “machine”, and soon mines start popping up. This interrupted the flow of the skirmish and the stalemate starts hereon, BUT this is also where numb3rs comes in.
Numb3rs = KILL KILL KILL
Seeing this, Pip thinks to himself “numb3rs ehh, okay then, numb3rs it is then”, see 11:37. How wrong Pip to assume that was was enough because right smack in the center, a marines only rave party, organized by G.A.M.E. was really coming up nicely, see 11:52. While Pip was busy expanding, messing with numb3rs and totally forgetting scanners, Raz just waltz right in with a lurker and hydras, denied Pip’s expansion and even reached the main base, see 13:16.
To disrupt the rave party, at 16.31, Freefrag began his “machine” siege run on Raz, but from behind they come, the marine rave party, high on stimpacks and trigger happy, started emptying their gauss rifles like water and really chewed the machines. Pip tried to provide backup but seriously, an overdosed marine rave party is not something you want to mess with, see 17:00. By 18:12, the marine rave party, still high on stimpacks arrived at Pip's expansion and its KILL KILL KILL.
The rest is history, Pip left the game soon after and the rave party is soon joined by lurkers’ war party at 21:00, camping outside Freefrag’s base and chanting KILL KILL KILL. Kudos to Freefrag in putting a stop to drug abuse and dispersing these two parties, but unfortunately, given the odds against Freefrag in terms of resources and numb3rs, he would not be able to stop rave party round 2, organized by Raz, titled lurkers’ night out, see 22:05.
Note 1: numb3rs, love it if you have it, hate it when you don’t …
Note 2: next update … KILL KILL KILL Vol. 2, Starconomics of scale
